I adhere to my calendar religiously. I block off time for strategic planning and no one is permitted to disturb me during these times.
- Taking time for strategic planning is critical for me and my business, so I always put time aside.

- This is true. I'm at the point of being very selective about which customers/clients I take on; focusing primarily on my ability to service them and their profitability.

Routine paperwork is not a problem. I have systems in place to handle it, and I actually enjoy paperwork.
- True. Paperwork is not an issue for me at all and/or I'm fully paperless. I even have a system in place to create my own forms as needed.
- I don't mind paperwork, but sometimes it does keep me from performing more profitable tasks. I would love to go paperless but I'll need help with it.

It's been said that a business should SUPPORT your lifestyle, not BECOME your lifestyle. Where do you fit?
- Oh yeah, I'm living the dream of the "4 Hour Workweek." It's a wonderful life!
- Sometimes I can get away for a day or two, but then I pay a price when I get back. In other words, if I don't do it, it won't get done.
- Do you mean it's not normal to work 16 hour days??

All of my processes are well documented and readily available so that anyone who needs to take action in my absence can do so. In other words, my business is close to being "franchise-ready."
- I've made it a point to have all of my routine systems and processes documented. If I'm out of the office, the place can run quite well without me.
- I've started to write up documentation but it's time consuming, and interruptions keep me from really making headway. If I'm out of the office, some systems can keep going, but not near enough.
- Document my systems? Again, you're kidding! I barely have time to write up job proposals and follow-up on phone calls. I don't see this happening any time soon.

I either have no workers or scheduling issues, or I have a system in place whereby my workers know exactly where they should be and what I expect.
- Scheduling of my workers is not a problem at all - or - I'm a solopreneur, so I'm the only one I need to keep track of

I've avoided hiring support staff for fear of not being able to afford them, yet I never seem to grow. It's been a couple of years and I just keep spinning my wheels and getting nowhere - and I'm getting frustrated.
- That's me! I feel like I'm drowning and I just can't get to the next level - but I'm afraid to hire support staff - my profit margin is just too thin.
- I've hired some on-site staff, but I'm not very good at it. I've chosen some poor employees, and the associated record keeping, insurance, taxes, etc is just plain aggravating and expensive. I wish there was an alternative.
- That's not me! I took the risk of hiring support staff back when money was tight, and I found that the time I saved enabled me to grow my business to new levels.

I'm sure I could benefit from a virtual administrative assistant who could perform their responsibilities professionally, timely, and according to my company’s standards. The idea of having someone who could 'watch my back' is very appealing.
- The idea of bringing on a professional Assistant is very appealing; particularly one that I can trust.
- It's an interesting concept; not sure if it's the right time. but maybe at some point.
- I doubt that I have the personality to utilize someone who is not actually in my office. The idea of someone working remotely without supervision is too much for me.
